Usually, we all love ourselves. I think the most important part is to love the other person, for what the other person is, and not because the other person is like something you like.
This is very difficult to do, but gives the highest level of satisfaction. This is what Mother Teresa did ... Loved everyone for what they are, and not because they confirmed to her picture of Beauty. And, thats a Saint!
